These full LED tail light assemblies transform the rear end of your 2013–2020 Audi A3 Sportback from factory halogen to a modern, high-spec LED setup styled after Audi’s newer 8Y-generation design language. Every lighting function – driving lights, brake lights, turn signals, reversing lights, and fog lights is handled by LED, replacing the stock halogen units entirely. The housings are precision-formed using 3D scan data from the original A3 Sportback body, so the fit is exact with no modifications. Installation is plug-and-play: no wiring changes, no coding. Sold as a complete left and right pair.
Key Features and Benefits
Full LED operation across all functions: driving lights, brake lights, streamer sequential turn signals, reversing lights, and fog lights. The sequential LED turn signal (streamer-style) is the most visually distinctive upgrade over the factory halogen setup and matches the indicator animation found on current Audi models.
Housings are manufactured from ABS, PMMA, and PC — materials that resist UV degradation, cracking, and impact across a wider temperature range than standard halogen housings. Internal waterproof seals and integrated air vents manage condensation and pressure equalisation, preventing long-term moisture ingress.
Fitment is based on original 3D scan data of the A3 Sportback body, eliminating the panel gap and alignment issues common with generic aftermarket tail light conversions. No bracket modifications or additional hardware required.
Plug-and-play wiring harness: connects directly to the factory loom. No additional resistors, no programming, no ECU coding required.
Sold as a matched pair (left + right), covering all four mounting positions on the Sportback body (two quarter-panel units, two tailgate/inner units).
Dual voltage compatibility: 12V and 24V systems.
CCC certified.
Material, Finish & Colour Options
Material: ABS housing, PMMA lens, PC inner components
Finish: Gloss red lens with dark smoke inner housing; amber LED streamer turn signal bar; clear reversing light section
Colour Options: Red taillight (single option — lens is red/dark tinted, emitting red for brake/tail and amber for indicators)
Vehicle Compatibility & Model Years
Compatible with: Audi A3 Sportback (5-door hatchback body style), model years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020.
Three variant options available to match the original factory fitment:
— 2013–2016 vehicles originally fitted with halogen tail lights
— 2013–2016 vehicles originally fitted with LED tail lights
— 2017–2020 vehicles fitted with LED tail lights
Select the correct variant at purchase to match your car’s original tail light type. Mismatching halogen vs. LED variants will result in wiring incompatibility.
Exclusions: Not compatible with the A3 Sedan (4-door), A3 Convertible/Cabriolet, or A3 three-door hatchback. Not compatible with 8Y-generation A3 (2021-onward) — this product is the upgrade kit for the 8V-generation (2013–2020) only.

Installation Notes & Special Functions
Plug-and-play connection via factory harness — no wire splicing, no additional resistors, no dealer programming or VCDS coding required. The connector is designed to mate directly with the existing A3 Sportback loom for the relevant year range and original light type (halogen or LED — must match).
Professional installation by a qualified auto electrician or mechanic is strongly recommended. Incorrect fitment can damage the wiring harness or result in fault codes.
Light height adjustment is possible post-installation via adjustment screws on the rear of the housing. Use a screwdriver and adjust incrementally — do not over-torque, as this can strip the adjuster motor.
Initial condensation inside the lens after installation is a normal thermal phenomenon caused by temperature differential during first use cycles. It is not a water ingress defect. The vented housing design allows internal moisture to dissipate with heat from normal operation. If condensation persists beyond several heat cycles, inspect the seal condition.
