Film specification and technology:
The film itself is where this kit separates from standard-grade PPF. At 8.5 mil thickness (approximately 0.215 mm), it sits in the top tier of TPU film construction, substantially thicker than standard-grade PPF (6.0-7.0 mil) and premium-grade alternatives (7.0-7.5 mil). That additional mass translates directly into impact absorption against road debris and stone chips.
The surface layer uses self-healing technology. Light scratches and surface scuffs close at room temperature through the thermoplastic memory of the TPU, and the process accelerates with heat exposure from sunlight. The film maintains a smooth, mark-free surface over time without manual intervention.
A built-in hydrophobic top coat causes water, dirt, tree sap, insect acids, and road tar to bead and roll off the surface rather than bonding to it. This reduces contamination buildup between washes and makes cleaning faster. The coating performs the same function as a dedicated nano ceramic coating layered over the film, but it is integrated into the film structure itself.
UV inhibitors embedded in the film block 99% of ultraviolet radiation. This protects the paint beneath from fading and oxidation, and it also prevents the film itself from yellowing or becoming brittle over time — a known failure mode in lower-grade films exposed to prolonged sun.
The finish is crystal clear gloss. On a vehicle with standard factory gloss paint, the film is virtually invisible once installed and does not alter the original paint colour, depth, or sheen.
Warranty and service life: 10-year manufacturer warranty. Coverage applies to material defects including fading, cracking, and bubbling. It does not cover damage from improper installation.
Installation tools included: spray bottle, squeegee, and towel. A printed installation guide ships with every order. Individual replacement pieces can be ordered separately if a section is damaged during installation.
