This rear trunk lip spoiler is purpose built for the BMW 3 Series E90 four door sedan produced between 2006 and 2011. It sits directly on the trailing edge of the trunk lid and adds a low profile sport wing that sharpens the rear appearance of the E90 without altering the factory character lines. The spoiler is constructed from flexible, high quality TPU material that holds its shape under heat and pressure while conforming tightly to the curved trunk surface during installation. It arrives with 3M adhesive tape pre applied, making the fitment process clean and straightforward. Verified buyers across the 320i, 320d, and 335i variants have confirmed accurate panel fitment and strong adhesive bond performance on delivery.
Key Features and Benefits
Engineered specifically for the BMW E90 four door sedan body. The profile dimensions and curvature match the factory trunk lid contour across all E90 sedan variants from 2006 through 2011, producing a clean flush fit that does not require trimming, drilling, or modification of any kind.
Constructed from flexible TPU material rather than rigid ABS. This is a meaningful distinction for the E90 trunk shape, which has a pronounced curve across its width. TPU conforms to that curve during installation and retains its form permanently once bonded, eliminating the gap lines that occur with stiffer materials on this body style.
The low profile aerodynamic lip reduces rear end lift at higher speeds by managing airflow separation at the trunk trailing edge. Multiple verified owners across European markets have reported improved rear end stability during motorway driving following installation.
3M industrial adhesive tape is the bonding method. This is the correct approach for this spoiler profile and produces a stronger, more weather resistant bond than mechanical fasteners on painted trunk surfaces when surface preparation is executed correctly.
The glossy black and carbon look finish options complement the standard BMW E90 colour range across all production years without requiring repainting or colour matching.
The spoiler does not obstruct rear visibility through the back screen and does not interfere with trunk lid clearance or opening arc.

Item Length: 121 cm
Item Width: 4.2 cm
Material: TPU flexible construction, strong flexibility with no deformation when bent
Bonding Method: Pre applied 3M double sided adhesive tape

Note: Allow a measurement tolerance of approximately 0.5 to 1.0 cm due to manual measurement variance. Screen calibration and ambient lighting may cause minor colour perception differences compared to the installed finish viewed in natural light. The spoiler arrives rolled for packaging. Warming in direct sunlight or with a low heat setting prior to installation will allow it to relax fully to its intended flat profile before bonding.
Installation Notes and Special Functions
Thoroughly clean the trunk lid mounting surface before installation. Remove all wax, polish residue, and grease from the bonding area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe and allow to dry completely.
If the spoiler has been stored rolled in transit, allow it to warm in direct sunlight for 10 to 15 minutes or apply gentle heat with a heat gun on a low setting until it relaxes to a flat profile. Do not attempt to bond a cold or curved spoiler to the trunk surface as this will prevent full contact across the adhesive length.
Dry fit the spoiler first without removing the adhesive backing. Mark the correct position using a removable tape line or coloured strip along the trunk edge to ensure precise alignment before the adhesive makes contact with the paint.
Once alignment is confirmed, peel the adhesive backing and press the spoiler firmly and evenly across its full 121 cm length from the centre outward. Apply sustained hand pressure for at least 60 seconds across the full length of the bond line.
Do not drive the vehicle or expose the bonded area to water or rain for a minimum of 24 hours after installation to allow the adhesive to reach full cure strength.
A user manual PDF is available from the seller. Professional installation is recommended for buyers who have not previously fitted adhesive bonded exterior trim components.
