MUCAR BT200 Max Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner with CAN FD, Bi-Directional Control and 15 Reset Functions – Full System Diagnostic Tool with Lifetime Free Updates for Android and iOS
Product Description
Most car owners first encounter a fault code when the check engine light appears with no explanation and no clear path to a fix. The MUCAR BT200 Max changes that dynamic. This Bluetooth OBD2 scanner connects to the vehicle’s diagnostic port and pairs with the free DollarFix app on Android or iOS to deliver full system fault scanning, bi-directional component testing, live sensor data, and over 15 maintenance reset functions from a smartphone screen. It supports the CAN FD communication protocol used in modern vehicles, reads and clears fault codes across every major system including engine, ABS, SRS, transmission, and body control, and uses an AI-assisted diagnostic engine to interpret codes and provide repair guidance in plain language. There are no ongoing subscription fees and no annual update costs. Lifetime free software updates are included from the point of purchase. For a DIY owner who wants to understand exactly what is happening with their vehicle before booking a workshop visit, or for a mechanic who needs a compact wireless scanning tool that keeps pace with modern vehicle architecture, the BT200 Max delivers capabilities that were previously confined to expensive professional workshop equipment.
Key Features and Benefits
- Full system diagnostics scan every major vehicle module including engine, ABS, SRS airbag, transmission, body control module, and all additional systems accessible via the OBD2 port, not just engine codes like cheaper generic scanners
- Bi-directional control actively sends commands to vehicle components and subsystems to test their function in real time, enabling tasks like activating the fuel pump, cycling the EGR valve, testing cooling fans, and performing brake caliper retraction without a separate workshop tool
- 15 plus maintenance reset functions cover the service intervals and calibration procedures that previously required a dealer or specialist, including oil service reset, electronic parking brake reset, steering angle sensor calibration, battery management system registration, tyre pressure monitoring reset, diesel particulate filter regeneration, throttle body adaptation, injector coding, and more
- CAN FD protocol support enables the scanner to communicate with late-model vehicles that have moved beyond the older CAN bus architecture, keeping the tool relevant for current and near-future vehicle purchases
- AI-powered fault code interpretation translates raw diagnostic trouble codes into plain-language explanations of likely causes and recommended repair actions, reducing the gap between code reading and actionable repair decisions
- Live data display renders sensor readings in text, graph, and waveform formats with playback functionality, allowing a technician or informed owner to observe sensor behaviour under driving conditions and identify intermittent faults
- AutoVIN automatic vehicle identification scans and identifies the connected vehicle without manual make, model, and year entry, and downloads the correct vehicle-specific software profile automatically within the DollarFix app
- Lifetime free software updates add new vehicle coverage, additional reset functions, and diagnostic improvements to the tool over its full service life with no subscription fees and no annual renewal costs
- Functions as a generic ELM327-compatible adapter for use with third-party OBD2 apps in addition to the native DollarFix application
- Powered directly through the vehicle OBD2 port, requiring no batteries, no charging cable, and no external power source during use
- CE, FCC, and RoHS certified

Installation Notes and Special Functions
No installation is required beyond plugging the unit into the vehicle OBD2 port, which is located under the dashboard on the driver side in most vehicles, typically within 60cm of the steering column.
Operating procedure:
Step 1. Download the DollarFix app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 2. Plug the MUCAR BT200 Max into the vehicle OBD2 port with the ignition on or engine running.
Step 3. Open the DollarFix app and pair via Bluetooth. The scanner will appear as an available device.
Step 4. The app will auto-scan the vehicle VIN and download the corresponding vehicle software profile.
Step 5. Select from full system scan, bi-directional tests, reset functions, live data, or diagnostic report generation.
The scanner remains connected for as long as it is plugged into the OBD2 port. It can be left in the port for ongoing live data monitoring during test drives. Remove after use if leaving the vehicle parked for extended periods to prevent minimal battery drain.
No mechanical knowledge is required to connect and operate the scanner. Interpreting diagnostic results and performing reset functions correctly does require an understanding of the specific vehicle system being serviced. Users unfamiliar with automotive diagnostics should review the AI-assisted repair guidance within the DollarFix app or consult a qualified mechanic before performing resets on safety-critical systems such as ABS, SRS, or EPB.
